Our 2024 Year In Review

Happy New Year 2025!

As we welcome the new year, we reflect on the exceptional challenges Lebanon faced in 2024—a year marked by persistent socioeconomic crises, compounded by war, widespread destruction, and internal displacement.

WRF in Lebanon, in collaboration with beneficiaries, caregivers, local community-serving entities, and key stakeholders, achieved significant milestones under the project “Filling Assistance Gaps in Basic Rehabilitation Services for Syrian Refugees with Disabilities and Their Peers in Host Communities in Lebanon.” This initiative is funded through a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, as a Gift of the United States Government.

2024 Highlights:

  • Delivered person-focused assistance throughout the year to thousands of individuals with disabilities across Lebanon (see report), including critical person-focused assistance during the escalation of the war (October–December 2024).
  • Expanded effective outreach efforts.
  • Completed an external impact evaluation affirming the project's relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, and overall impact—underscoring the lasting contributions of WRF initiatives in Lebanon.

We look forward to expanding collaborations in 2025. We invite you to get in touch with us for more information, coordination, advocacy, or partnership opportunities.
